Meet Your Village

Samantha and Bethany are a full spectrum doula partnership providing birth and postpartum doula support, private and group childbirth education, lactation counseling, and holistic parenting education and coaching.  We work very closely as a seamless team, often co-hosting classes and meeting with clients together, so that each client feels fully supported during this exciting, yet vulnerable, time.

Together, we have 20 years of combined experience in birth work, with training from Childbirth International, Cornerstone, Stillbirthday, DONA, Breastfeeding USA, the Consciously Parenting Project, Postpartum Support International, Spinning Babies, and more.  We offer economic justice pricing, payment plans, and happily accept OHP for birth and postpartum doula services.

We view our work through an evidence-informed & trauma-informed lens, and aim to practice as anti-racist and pro-LGBTQIAS2+ birth workers.  We will honor and uphold your own birth and postpartum goals, and encourage you to trust your own parenting intuition.

Samantha Wilson

Hieee, happy you’re here! I’m a cycle-breaking gentle mother and Birthworker supporting Marion County. I’m an adventurous eater, great at starting creative projects and never finishing them, and whose arch enemy is the never-ending laundry. I’m an extroverted introvert- I love to socialize and then hide away from the world to read a good psycho-thriller book. I have three boys who keep me insane and witty. Their love for the outdoors, whether we’re in our backyard, at the river, or on ‘hike’ help keeps us grounded.

Bethany Griffin-Shetler

I am a birth worker living and working in Silverton, Oregon. I was born and raised here, and I love the families in this cozy town. I did a bit of traveling and exploring new places, but eventually came back to Silverton to raise my 6 kids. I come from a tough farming family, and consider myself a mix of free-spirited hippy chick and flannel-wearing chapstick wannabe outdoors-person.
