Food and Nutrition

    Public health nutrition education program that offers an EBT card for WIC approved foods each month, including infant formula. Income guideline levels are based on working family wages.

  • SILVERTON AREA COMMUNITY AID

    Also called SACA, this is a Silverton-based community agency that offers food and financial assistance to those in need in the Silverton area.

  • MARION POLK FOOD SHARE

    Marion Polk Food Share distributes nutritious food for individuals and families to more than 100 local partners, including food pantries and meal sites, and delivers Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors and adults with disabilities. They operate an urban farm and support a network of community gardens that connect people and their food, and mobilize community members to address systemic issues that lead to hunger.

  • SALEM HARVEST

    Salem Harvest connects farmers and backyard growers with volunteer pickers to harvest fruits and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste. Half or more of each harvest is delivered to food distribution agencies across the Mid-Willamette Valley. Harvest volunteers may take home the remainder for children or homeless, unemployed, elderly, or low-income individuals.
