Parenting Coaching with Bethany
As a certified parenting educator and coach, Bethany has worked with hundreds of families teaching online parenting classes, hosting support groups, and doing a heck of a lot of virtual coaching.
Some of those families had biological kids with healthy attachments and they simply needed a listening ear, someone to talk to them about normal child development, and a devoted support person who could help them work through their own decision making process.
Other parents came with kids who were demonstrating problematic or severe behaviors. These behaviors might include lying, stealing, running away, showing aggression, or any other number of “negative” behaviors.
No matter what your particular situation is, being a parent is hard work. We sometimes don’t have the community or blueprint that we wish we did to give our kids everything that we hope for them.
Parenting can feel overwhelming, frustrating, scary, and confusing. We might want to push through some hard times and move forward, but how? Is it even possible to remain in relationship with our kids when they are acting out? What do we do when the stuff our own parents taught us isn’t working? What happens when we don’t even feel like we like our kids anymore or if we hate our role as a parent?
Through virtual parenting coaching, we can find solutions that work for you. And at the same time, you can have the neutral, non-judgmental listener and witness that you need and deserve in order to process your own thoughts and feelings.
Virtual coaching is especially helpful for those parents whose children are fostered, adopted, have trauma histories, or who have diagnoses such as ADHD, RAD, and ODD, etc. but all parents are invited and welcome to take advantage of this powerful layer of support.
Sessions take place over phone or zoom and are typically 1 hour long.
